There is a sincerity in her voice and tone that not only speaks to her character, but also lays the groundwork for trust. She is thorough and clear in explaining what her role is for you, the client, each time that you meet with her. She is an extremely good listener, never interrupted my thought process as I was speaking and took notes so the 2 of us could review later together. If there were times during my session when she thought that something that she could share about her personal life was relevant, she would share it.

Never to the point where I felt that it took away from my sessions – only to help, and then she was done. It helped in validating my feelings and thoughts and not feeling alone. She asked thought provoking questions and took the time to process the information before her next question. I had a few revelation moments, for sure, all based on her questions and not stemming from anything that I even thought I had been struggling with at the time. Our time together never felt generic or a “one size fits all.”

I even got to enjoy some breath work at the beginning of each session to help me focus on our session and leave my morning and the outside world behind for a while. She cares about helping people and that is nothing less than CLEAR.

When I first saw Sandy’s posting on Facebook advertising Wellness Coaching, I was both intrigued and elated! The timing could not have been more perfect – at just about that same time, I had experienced an epiphany about my life, my health, and my future. I realized that in the many incarnations of my roles as mother, wife, and career woman, I had really lost my sense of self. I had stopped taking care of my own physical and mental health, I had forgotten the things that brought me joy, and I was slowly turning into someone I didn’t know and didn’t especially like. In the course of our coaching sessions, I was able to really open up about my innermost feelings and identify my personal wellness goals. More importantly, she helped me see how all the facets of my wellbeing are interconnected – mind, body, spirit. She showed me how important it is for me to take care of myself so that I can continue to take care of my loved ones. She encouraged my desire to eat better, improve my overall health, lower my blood pressure and cholesterol, move my body more, and use mindful/meditative breathing techniques.

What I enjoyed most about Sandy as a coach was her sincere empathy, her total focus and active listening skills, and her gentle, yet firm, encouragement.
